In this article inconveniences between virtual space (VS) and real space (RS) and its probable damages have been theoretically investigated. The main aim is to analyze effects of accustoming to virtual space mechanisms and rules of creation of consciousness and perception has on the relationship and interactions in the real world. Mead’s “generalized others”, Habermas’s “communicational action” and Beck’s “risk society” has been reviewed in order to articulate the theoretical basis of the concept of “distressed communication”. It seems being drowned in virtual space and creation of virtual consciousness beside accustoming to rules and norms of virtual space has been conducted to some understanding disorders within real space. “Distressed communication” is more realized than “rational communication” in the era of hegemony of social media; the phenomenon that has resulted many damages on individual and group relationships. the problematic in here is just acting within the real on the basis and logic of virtual space. Computational error in sending message and meaningful action, being shocked by others’ reactions, expressing far desires as short-run aims are some of conceptual components of “distressed communication”. Besides holding contradictive statements, casual relationships, weakness in permanence of expressive identity, harmful and violent language are some of other components.
The article should not be reckoned as nor pessimistic and neither optimistic toward virtual space. The main problematic of this article was how participants of unrest events at almost end of 2022 in Iran were very confident for overthrowing the political state, while acting as funny and fake revolutionaries. It seemed being drowned in virtual space such as acting in social media and playing virtual games have made them to believe in the logic of virtual space could be applied in the real space. Suffering from lack of rationality of acts, that this kind of transferring would have brought about for them is one of the reasons of necessity of explaining this situation. In order to access to an applicable concept, Meads “generalized others” specially the concepts related to “putting oneself in other shoes” and “definition of situation” were very close in order to explain the main problem of communication in the real world. It seems the actors who had experiencing drowning in the virtual space who we can name them “Actors Drowned in Virtual Space” or “ADVS” while have improved their ability to communicate in the virtual space (VS), have lost the logic of interaction in the real space (RS).
Tensions between RS and VS has brought about a condition that Habermas “theory of action” specially “communicational reason” is far to be stabilized. More often this kind of tensions have resulted in irrational communication. Although the main target of Habermas was to describe the “reason” instead of “communication”, but it seems the reason is being ruined under this kind of tensions. Therefore according to the tensions between VS and RS, both “instrumental reason” as Weber suggested and “communicative reason” as Habermas suggests are far from reality of the current relationships. Within VS by governance mechanisms of the platform of social media besides the latent armies such as different group of oppositions whom partially were recently disgraced in Albania and the cost and benfits of having more followers in order to reflect more ads, talking about reason is more ironic than philosophical sophistaction.
At the margin of the article Haberms, Giddens, Ulrich Beck and Zymunt Bauman task in order to theorize globalization and late modernity has been verified. Their commitment in order to find a refuge for modernity through the concepts of “communicational reason”, risk society, liquid modernity are mostly fantasies of the real events of the world. Since the theory and concept of globalization has been challenged by the concept of “polarization” and multipolar world by Entezari (2010) suggested, while some of Iranian scholars were very resistant to it, so many articles and books have been written in order to unveil the ideological context of defending modernity (for example: Dugin 2021؛ Abbas 2022؛ Amin 2006؛ Clegg 2009؛ Deitz et al 2009؛ Plagemann 2015؛ Dee 2015؛ Mitchell et al 2013؛ Stahl 2018؛ Woodley 2015؛ Hiro 2010؛ The Saker 2015؛ Singh 2020؛ Ohanyan & Broeers 2020؛ Hussain 2016؛ Diesen 2012؛ Engel & Ramos 2013؛ Cimbala 2017؛ Lesage et al 2016؛ Silvius 2016؛ Mori 2020). Under the polarization theoretical framework, the concept of “distressed communication” instead of “rational communication” could be better explained.

The desirable and harmful effects of cyberspace on different aspects of life especially education and schooling have always been a subject of debate. Thus, the main purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of lifestyle influenced by cyberspace on academic engagement of students. The statistical population consisted of high school students (junior and senior) of the city of Dehloran (Ilam Province, Iran) in the academic year 2018-19., 360 of whom were selected as the sample through cluster random sampling. The necessary data were collected by two standard questionnaires, i.e., Reev’s (2013) student engagement questionnaire and Taheri’s (2014) questionnaire. Cronbach’s alpha was used to measure the reliability of both questionnaires (α = 0.88). The correlation coefficients showed that there is a significant negative relationship between lifestyle influenced by cyberspace and academic engagement (r=-0.39, p≤0.001). Analysis of structural equation modeling (SEM) with AMOS also indicated that the lifestyle influenced by cyberspace variable and its six dimensions (knowledge acquisition, communication, identity, services, enjoyment seeking, and outcome) were able to predict 51% (R2=0.51) of the variance in the academic engagement variable (β= -0.53 and p≤0.00). The results showed that lifestyle influenced by cyberspace had a negative effect on academic performance of students. Therefore, it was concluded that such lifestyle needs to be modified with a view to attain maximum benefits and minimum costs.

Title:Media of Cyberspace and family privacy from the perspective of lawAhmad Bagheri(Faculty member, University of Tehran) Batool Gorgin(Doctor of Jurisprudence and Law) Abstract:AbstractThe present study investigates crimes against family rights in modern cyber media. Crimes against family rights in the cyberspace are one of the most debated issues in today's society. There are three 'negative', 'incorrect', and 'sophisticated processes of influencing and influencing cyberspace and the family' from a social point of view in relation to cyberspace media within and outside the family institution. In all three approaches, there are points of view that indicate the importance of the media's impact on ICTs on the family and its internal and external communications. In terms of the governance and management of this media, the third approach is neither purely positive nor pragmatic, but rather pragmatic; And "Finally, the family is considered as an independent source of formulation of family protection laws in cyberspace." In all three solutions, the current situation and the desired situation are discussed from the perspective of the author. The findings of the study indicate that the family is not considered a legal entity in Iranian jurisprudence and law and that crimes against the family in the cyberspace, like real ones, have been criminalized against family members.

“Social Media” has emerged as new phenomenon in the scope of research and academia since 2005. Using Meta-Analysis (Scientometrics Approach) as a research method, the purpose of this study was to review over the past trends of Research & Development (R&D) in the area of “social Media”.The population of this study was all scientific documents indexed in Web of Science (WoS) databases from 1970 until June 2019 with the keyword of “Social Media” as a subject (all together 40,471 documents with “Social Media” as a subject and 15,038 documents with Social Media” in the Titles). To find out the conceptual transformation, all collected documents have been divided into three categories based on their frequency: 1-from 2005 to 2011, 2- from 2012 to 2015 and 3- from 2016-2019. The “theme analysis” of the documents in this study shows that a significant conceptual transformation can be highlight in R&D from 2005 to 2019 in the area of “Social Media”. in addition, even though US, UK, China and other western countries were the first nations who start R&D in the area of “Social Media”, it was noted that especially after 2015, many new and emerging countries like Malaysia, Qatar, Jordan, U.A.E., Pakistan, Kazakhstan and etc. in the developing countries also came to the picture in establishing international R&D networks to also contribute to the body of knowledge in this area.

The purpose of this study was to identify the dimensions of social life of citizens and their impact on cyberspace in Hamadan province. The method of the present study is a mixed-type consecutive exploration design. Qualitative participants included experts in Hamadan province in the field of social issues, among whom 10 were selected as well as theoretical research related literature among which 7 books, 131 articles, and 10 theses were selected purposefully. The study population in the quantitative section includes the citizens of Hamadan province, from which 400 people were selected by stratified random sampling. A researcher-made questionnaire and semi-structured interview were used for data collection. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by experts and its reliability was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha coefficient and its construct validity through confirmatory factor analysis. The results were obtained in the qualitative section of 6 categories including social security and health, citizenship awareness, contrasting tradition and modernity, social ethics, social participation, and social responsibility. In the quantitative part, the results also showed that the largest use of cyberspace is in terms of quantity for entertainment and the least is commercial and economic activities. In terms of usage, communication is first and then entertainment, learning, and business activities, respectively. Also, the impact of cyberspace was negative on three categories of social issues including social security and health; citizen awareness; and the contrast between tradition and modernity

Few spheres of personal, social, political, and even scientific life have not gone under changes after the advance of the Internet and other information and communication technologies. From the massive areas that have been influenced by the cyber world, our attention is drawn to the humanities and social sciences. The question is, what new conditions social media have created for humanities and social science, and how these conditions have served as a strengthening or weakening factor in the growth and development of these sciences. The range of estimations varies from positive to negative. With the advance of social networks, the vast majority of society, the passive consumer of classical communicational devices, has become the expressive consumer or even the amateur producer. The findings suggest that, In this evolution, two processes of democratization and liberalization of communication and science, as a part of it, have progressed together, with more positive estimates for the first case and more negative for the second one. From an analytical standpoint, we try to corroborate the idea that, as in the real world, these two are going together, although this does not mean to stop trying to increase the benefits nor reduce the defects.

The central concern of this paper is to assess the role played by the cyberspace in the construction of decision making frames for voters. The cases studied are the election campaigns in Tehran - Iranian megalopolise and the Capital of Islamic Republic - during the tenth elections for the Majles (parliament). In accordance with interpretive approach in social sciences, we have opted for a qualitative method and have used framing theory as a guiding analytical framework that has in many ways modified rational choice theory. We interviewed a number of citizens in Tehran who had taken part in the elections and at the same time were regular internet users during the election campaigns. With the help of thematic analysis, we processed and interpreted the data collected through the semi-structural interviews that we had conducted. Our findings indicate that cyberspace has played a major role in the cognitive, problem-identification, and motivational frames of the voters through social media’s agenda setting, priming, clue giving, and decontextualizing effects, either directly or indirectly through opinion leaders. During those elections, the cyberspace played a candid role at three levels: inciting people to go the polls, leading them to vote for an entire list of candidates put up by political blocs, and reinforcing or modifying support for this or that bloc.

For example, Canada, with its profound history in media literacy education, is the most successful country in the world, but despite widespread importance of media in Iran, media literacy education in this country is relatively new.The present study compared performance of a model country in teaching media literacy (Canada) with a country new on this way (Iran). Therefore, the performance of Canadian Media Awareness Network that provides media literacy education via “Media Smarts Website” and Iranian “Media Literacy Website”, the only Persian website providing media literacy education, were compared using “content analysis" method. The main results are as follows: majority of the contents in Iranian Website were "informative" and "alarming", but most of the contacts in Canadian Website had features of a real “educational sources. Canadian Website developed educational contents using the theories proposed by media literacy experts; While Iranian website has not used these valuable sources.

The effects of new media, which expand Virtual space, on thinking and identity of the audiences at ethnic and national levels, are among most controversial issues about which numerous studies have been conducted. In 2000s and early-2010, the number of studies regarding this issue had grown remarkably across research and academic circles. Thus they were analyzed using a meta-analysis using integrative review method. َََArticles, which had been accepted and printed at scientific Iranian journals, were selected. The effect of Virtual space was investigated as the effect of a new media on identity of Iranian audiences. Articles were extracted using web-browsers, among them articles have been selected which were compatible with essay framework, and common variables “Virtual space” and “Identity” were selected for meta-analysis. Research findings were classified into two groups: Descriptive findings and explanative findings. Descriptive findings across Research method, Population and theoretical framework of analyzed articles were reviewed. This research aimed at answering this question “would new media contribute to national convergence or divergence, considering its rapid growth among new generation? And therefore monitoring and conducting security measures by a constraining framework for securing national goods and establishing national security against these media isn’t necessary. Although surveilling and monitoring such media is an accepted procedure across all societies.

Most graduates in helping majors are faced the problem of developing professional identity process. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of virtual networks in flourishing occupational identity by internship and a qualitative study of facilities and obstacles to this approach. The method was qualitative with content analysis of interns’ answers about their internship experiences in cyberspace. The method of data collecting was semi-structured interview. The Statistical Society were students and graduates of helping majors across the country. Targeted sampling of 20 active interns was used for data collecting. According to the encoded findings, internship possibilities in virtual networks were classified on three main themes: cyberspace possibilities, the facilities provided by the counselor and features of the process (the interaction of cyberspace, interns and consultants). Speed Internet, lack of audio and video signals, reducing the effect of counseling, difficulty of typing, ambiguity in dialogue and mental engagement reduction, was identified as barriers. According to the current limited facilities, internship in cyberspace can be responsive as an auxiliary method, for the large number of Council members who are in line for a license.

This paper attempts to study the knowledge-sharing behaviors of Iranian professionals in cyberspace. To this end, semi-structured interviews, Delphi method and an online questionnaire were used as research tools through qualitative and quantitative methods. Since the main research tools were semi-structured interviews with 15 experts to meet the research purposes, the process was continued until the “theoretical saturation” was realized. Afterwards, in order to approve or amend the obtained indices from the analysis of interview texts, the Delphi method was used. Hence, the knowledge-sharing behavior model was extracted. Through chain sampling, the selected network users, 299 electronic questionnaires were collected and analyzed using Smart PLS software and confirmatory factor analysis (rate of return, 77%). The findings indicate that the main variables of knowledge-sharing behaviors are divided into individual, group, and environmental indices respectively. Components of the individual dimension of knowledge-sharing include motivation, ethicality, personality, ability, attitude towards knowledge-sharing and psychological security. Group dimension of knowledge-sharing include shared benefits, group structure and social capital and finally environmental factors, including technological (technical requirements of specialized social networks), political rights (the country's cyberspace policy), economic (cost and variety of internet packages), socio-cultural (expert lifestyle and national character).
