Mobile social networks facilitate connections through mobile devices, and users of these networks can use mobile to access, share and distribute information. With increasing the number of users on social networks, the large amount of shared information and the dissemination of created information cause some problems such as rumor propagation and access to incorrect information. The most powerful tools for validity of received information is based upon the trust value which is assigned by the others. However, considering the subjective and perceptive nature of the concept of trust, the mapping of trust in a computational model is one of the important issues in computing systems of social networks. In addition, there may be various communities on social networks and all users will not be directly connected to each other, which leads to a more complex process of calculating trust. In this research, using user characteristics in social networks, a fuzzy classification approach is proposed, and the trust is computed between users in a class using a computational model. Also trust is gained between users who are not directly connected, using the combination, transition and aggregation processes. By comparing the results, it can be seen that the proposed method recognizes trustworthy people with high precision.

The basic question of this article is that what is the difference between online journalists, print and Radio&TV journalists in terms of amount and manner to use Smartphone Tools? Accordingly, in the framework of the survey method and using the tools of the Iranian Journalists' Questionnaire, a statistical analysis of two comparative hypotheses is to be tested: (1) There is a difference between the three groups of online journalists, print journalists and Radio&TV journalists in the "amount" of using Smartphone and (2) there is difference between the three groups of online journalists, print and Radio&TV journalists in the "manner" of using Smartphones. The results showed that there is no significant difference between the "amount" of print and Radio&TV journalists' use of Smartphones, but the amount of online journalists using Smartphones is higher than others. It was also concluded about the "manner" of use. The dominant use of online and print media from Smartphones was "networking" usage and the dominant use of Radio&TV journalists was "communicative" usage.

The purpose of this article is to survey the role of mobile social network in reproduction of the ethnic identity of Kurdish students in Tehran universities. To this end, using the deductive strategy, we have set up a theoretical framework for compilation (the theory of Domestication of Media, Ted Robert gurr's Ethno-Political Identity Theory and Henri Tajfel's social identity Theory). The data collection tool was a written questionnaire. A sample of 400 students from Kurds in social sciences and human sciences of Tarbiat Modarres, Tehran, Shahid Beheshti, Allameh Tabataba'i and Shahed universities were surveyed using cluster sampling. The statistical analysis of the survey also revealed that the social software programs included the Telegram, the Instagram, WhatsApp and Emo. Analytical results have shown that Telegram and Instagram, without controlling the impact of political, social and cultural variables, have been related to the ethnic identity of students, but by controlling the impact of these variables, the impact of the use of social media on telegrams and Instagram has been greatly reduced. Thus, the present paper has shown that modern social media is only a new way of representing the identity of individuals and the main causes of ethnic identity escalation should be sought in the offline world and among structural causes such as relative deprivation, dissatisfaction, ethnical life experience, and so on.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relation of the use of modern communication technologies (satellite, Internet, and virtual social networks) on students' attitude toward the friendship with the opposite sex before marriage in the context of the "Cultivation effects" frameworks, "effects of consequences". The method of this study was correlation and data were collected by using a questionnaire from male and female students of state universities, Payame Noor, Islamic Azad University and Arak Medical Sciences University, which were selected by inappropriate Stratified sampling method. Pearson correlation coefficient and hierarchical regression were used to analyze the data. The results of the hierarchical regression analysis showed that among the research variables, using virtual and satellite social networks after sex control, religious beliefs, and the relationship between parents and their children, 26% of the changes in the attitude towards friendship with the opposite sex can be explained. Also, there was no significant relationship between the use of the Internet and the attitude toward the friendship with the opposite sex. Among the variables of control, gender, and religious beliefs, they significantly related the attitude toward the friendship with the opposite sex. In general, the use of satellite, the use of virtual networks, gender, and religious beliefs have been able to explain 62 percent of the variation of the dependent variable in the statistical population of the research.

Family is one of the most important social units and its health is very effective in the health of the community and its members. The mediatization of everyday life is a process that refers to the continuous bonding of the individual's everyday life to the media, a process that can affect the health of the family. Accordingly, in this research, focusing on 530 families with a child, using the survey method, the relationship between the mediatization of everyday life and family health (including five dimensions), and the effect of the consumption of each of the three media of the internal TV, Satellite programs and the Internet were questioned. The results of the research indicate that the mediatization of everyday life has a significant negative correlation with family health and this relationship is visible in the dimensions of family relational and process health. In a more detailed analysis, the two dimensions of mediatization of identity and the mediaization of interactions have had a negative correlation with the overall index of family health and family relational health. Internet usage and satellite usage have also decreased with the increase in media out of the family's health, and the use of internal television has not played a role in the media process.

AbstractThe United States of America has always used public diplomacy as a "strategic" tool in its foreign policy towards the Islamic Republic of Iran. During Barack Obama’s presidency, "digital diplomacy" and "social networks”, for some reasons, including the lack of traditional diplomatic relationship with Iran & the necessity of having a tool for managing the public opinion and collecting information from inside Iran, had been paid special attention. Therefor during Hillary Clinton's term as secretary of state, using digital diplomacy and, in particular, twitter diplomacy (twiplomacy) as an effective tool for the US foreign policy, was significantly intensified, in a wayTwitter, Facebook and YouTube played very effective roles in the protests against the 2009 Iranian presidential election results. Hence, the main question of the present research is how the US State Department usede digital diplomacy to affect Iran during the Obama administration. Using the explanatory method, the hypothesis is investigated that the US Department of State, in the frame work of digital diplomacy, has managed a soft war against Iran through using Twitter and its capabilities to bring people on the streets, organize the protesters, collect information from within Iran, and publish targeted analyses, and disseminate a wave of Iran-phobia across the world.

Digital games have become a popular form of entertainment among different people specially adults and adolescents. The game Grand Theft Auto series has taken a lot of attention from young people around the world so that according to Wikipedia game sales the version of San Andreas has sold more than 43 million copies around the world. With the release of the series of this game, politicians have criticized them for their aggressive content. The review of literature confirms that game researchers have mainly analyzed the game effects on young players, but they have seldom critiqued misrepresentation of minor ethnicities and minor religions. In this paper, with the methodology of game feature analysis of the games including Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Kumawar, Splinter cell: Black List, Delta force, Sandstorm: Pirate Wars, Total warrior and America’s Army we indicate how they misrepresent ethnical minors such as African-Americans and Muslims with stereotypes or how they justify aggressive tendency and behavior in the stressful public places of U.S.A. after September 11th attacks.

In recent years, production and dissemination of jokes related to tragic and non-tragic events have turned into a social phenomenon. The reasons for the production, the nature, contents, functions, and repercussions of such a discourse definitely need in-depth sociological and anthropological analysis and scrutiny; among others. Focusing on a recent catastrophe, the present study aims at analyzing jokes related to April 2019 widespread flash flooding in Iran. The corpus consisted of 100 jokes collected from social networking sites. Through adopting qualitative thematic analysis, the jokes’ contents were coded and then categorized. The findings reveal that the flooding resulted in production of jokes with political-critical, religious, gendered, and neutral themes. In other words, a large number of jokes were not neutral and based on the Iranians’ lived experiences and backgrounds contained socio-political and ideological meanings. Keywords: Disaster jokes, Flash flooding, Social networking sites, Qualitative thematic analysis, Political-critical jokes, Religious jokes, Gendered jokes, Neutral jokes.
