Until the 1990s, this field had not been seriously considered by scholarships. Media studies’ affection by cultural studies and its apostasy (an important feature of cultural studies) are the main reasons for abandoning religion in media studies. Religious scholars also considered the mass media to be a factor in the weakening of religion, and therefore paid less attention to media studies. However, the emphasis of cultural approaches on the processes of meaning-making in society and the importance of religion as one of the most important components in the process of meaning-making of human agency caused attention to be turned to religion. Therefore, since the 90s, we have witnessed the growth of literature in the field of religion and media studies. Studies that began with the efforts of scholars such as Clifford Geertz and James Carey have continued up to the date and have grown due to the widespread influence of new media and their unique features at the community level. Examining the performance of religious groups, audience-oriented approach, examining religious news coverage, content analysis of religious topics, policy-making and critical content analysis have been among the main subjects of studies in this field, in recent years. However, the most important approaches to this emerging field of study can be found in Marshall McLuhan's "Technological Determinism"; Stig Hjarvard's "The Mediatization of Religion"; Stewart Hoover's "Mediation of Meaning"; Gordon Lynch’s "Mediation of Sacred Forms"; and Heidi Campbell’s "Religious-Social Shaping of Technology."}, keywords = {Religion,New Media,Cultural Studies,Mediation,Mediatization,Religious-Social Shaping of Technology}, title_fa = {واکاوی حوزۀ مطالعاتی دین و رسانه‌های نوین؛ مروری بر پیشینه، مفاهیم و نظریه‌های رایج با تأکید بر رویکرد ساخت اجتماعی دینی فن‌آوری}, abstract_fa = {اولین مطالعات در حوزۀ دین و رسانه را می‌توان در دهه‌های 70 و 80 میلادی پیگیری کرد. اما تا قبل از دهۀ 90 میلادی این حوزۀ مطالعاتی به‌طور جدی در کانون توجه اندیشمندان قرار نگرفته بود. تأثیرپذیری مطالعات رسانه از مطالعات فرهنگی و دین‌گریزی به عنوان خصلت مهم ادبیات مطالعات فرهنگی یکی از عوامل مهم دوری دین از فضای مطالعات رسانه در آن سال‌ها بود. همچنین، اندیشمندان علوم دینی رسانه‌های جمعی را عامل تضعیف دین می‌دانستند و به همین خاطر، کم‌تر توجهی به مطالعات رسانه داشتند. با این حال، تأکید رویکردهای فرهنگی بر فرایندهای معناسازی در جامعه و اهمیت دین در مقام یکی از مهم‌ترین مولفه‌ها در فرایند معناسازی عاملیت انسانی موجب شد تا توجهات به سمت دین معطوف گردد. از همین روی، از دهۀ 90 میلادی شاهد رشد ادبیات حوزۀ مطالعاتی دین و رسانه هستیم. مطالعاتی که با تلاش‌های اندیشمندانی چون کلیفورد گیرتز و جیمز کری آغاز شد و تا به امروز ادامه داشته و به واسطۀ نفوذ گستردۀ رسانه‌های نوین و ویژگی‌های منحصربفرد آنها در سطح جامعه، افزایش نیز یافته است. بررسی عملکرد گروه‌های دینی، رویکرد مخاطب‌محور، بررسی پوشش خبری دین، تحلیل محتوای مضامین دینی، سیاست‌گذاری و تحلیل محتوای انتقادی از جمله عرصه‌های مطالعاتی حوزۀ دین و رسانه در این سال‌ها بوده‌اند. اما، مهم‌ترین رویکردهای این عرصۀ مطالعاتی نوظهور را می‌توان در «جبرگرایی تکنولوژیک» مارشال مک‌لوهان، «رسانه‌ای شدن دین» استیگ هاروارد، «وساطت معنا» استوارت هوور، «وساطت گونه‌های مقدس» جی. لینچ و «ساخت اجتماعی دینی فن‌آوری» هیدی کمبل جستجو کرد.}, keywords_fa = {دین,رسانه های نوین,مطالعات فرهنگی,وساطت معنا,رسانه‌ای کردن,ساخت اجتماعی دینی فن‌آوری}, url = {https://nms.atu.ac.ir/article_13367.html}, eprint = {https://nms.atu.ac.ir/article_13367_a0c61ffbc420702e4437ffa06cb04464.pdf} }
