This paper offers an interdisciplinary study on mechanisms of homophily in virtual social network at Graduate University of Zanjan. Despite the significance of homophily, not many studies have been done on it. It is for this reason this paper sets its objective to study homophily in Iran and considers its unit of analysis to be Graduate University of Zanjan. Theoretically the paper uses a theoretical synthesis based on what homophily means in the discipline of Network Science and Technology and combines it with the concept of homophily in Communication and Sociology. Methodologically, the paper collects its data from among students at Graduate University of Zanjan during a period of 2009 and 2014. We used some interviews and set up some face-to face interviews with questionnaires in addition to observations in order to complete the data gathering. Then we calculated the number of connections with similar characteristics of individuals and subtracted them from total connections expected in a random situation so to measure homophily. Here the paper has measured characteristics or variables such as gender, graduate degree level, discipline, city of residence, marital status, and year of entering university. Some of the results indicate that students, who use social network of Graduate University of Zanjan, select their friends based on the following characteristics and in the following order: similarity in gender, marital status, degree level, discipline, year of entering university, and city of residence. Our observations indicate that religious norms play a special role in communicating with opposite sex.

The subject of this article is “U.S Cyber Diplomacy Influence on Viewpoint of Iranian Users of Cyberspace (Case Study: Voice of America Website)”. U.S government tried to implement various cultural, social and educational programs to convince people about its foreign policy goals, and it became known as public diplomacy. Considering Iran’s high stance in U.S foreign policy, its Department of State launched various cyber diplomacy projects including Voice of America website to influence Iranians. The key question of this article is: What is the Influence of Radio Farda website, on Viewpoint of Iranian Users of Cyberspace? For this purpose, qualitative content analysis of Voice of America website and sending questionnaires has been used. The hypothesis is that, comparing to Iranian Internet users who do not read Voice of America website content, the Voice of America website users are more influenced by cyber diplomacy content and messages and this leads to negative attitude towards Iranian society in economic, social, cultural and political aspects.

The main object of the present thesis is to understand the representation of the "Second Wife" in Iranian cinema in the past two decades. To achieve this goal, we have overwied the theoretical concepts of representation and cinema as a medium of representation. We used qualitative analysis and semiology technic in this thesis. Based on the pattern of Selby and Cowdory we have analyzed the technical codes. The refrences and implications in the movies have been found by Barthes narrative codes. By focusing on these patterns, which were tried in four films: "Shokaran", "Zan-e Dovom", "Pato zamin nazar" and "zandegi-e khosousi" that have been choosen on purpose; the second wife character has been analyzed. And the cinematic representation and the stereotypes of the second wife is revealed.By results of this study it can be said that the stereotypes like "find emotional support", "modern woman", "divorced woman", "seduction", " guiltless and innocence", "solitude", "motherhood", "religion", "secret relationship" and "dishonor" are the major stereotypes were raised in these films. In these film the second wife, though often initially appeared as a seductive and glamorous woman, gradually is seeking for being a real wife and start a family. Finally in representation of second wife in relationship we assumed that the second wife is guilless and innocent. In second marriage we blame the married man for starting the relationship.
