To this end, a comprehensive model of celebrity self-representations in the medium was presented through assessing self-representation patterns, methods and strategies.we selected 391 posts of Instagrams from the pages of the 5 most popular Iranian celebrities by targeted sampling. The results of qualitative content analysis on the samples obtained five self-representation patterns in their pages. These five patterns include the pattern of the representation of professional identity, the model of social activism representation, interacting patterns with the audience, the pattern of political activism and the pattern of representing everyday personal life. Each of the first three patterns contained different strategies for self-representation, which were described as sub-types. Five characters were obtained using semiotic interpretations and evaluating implicit implications of the patterns: being specific and popular; being belonged to ordinary level of society; being active and responsible; being approved and benevolent; and being intimate and popular. The five characters represent the celebrities as a reference group.

In this article we suggest three theoretical realms to media literacy studies based on the three dimensional concept of media in Klaus Bruhn Jensen’s definition. After that, we develop the concept of computer games literacy corresponding to the three realms of media literacy. In Jensen’s definition, concept of “media” understand in three distinct levels: The first level is related to material and technological sense of media; second level is related to close examination on communicating potentials of media; and finally third level is related to social and institutional sense of media. Media literacy in framework of these three levels of media concept, gain distinct realms of detailed ideas for different kind of researches and studies. As a result, we suggest that “computer games literacy” has triple realms corresponding to three theoretical realms of “media literacy”. According to this receipt, we evaluate "Amnesty the Game" in the second part of the article from the perspective of triple realms of “computer games literacy”. Case Study of "Amnesty the Game" showed, how discursive means of the text reproduced in synergistic form in all of the three levels of media concept. This game practiced to expand the knowledge generated by user interaction with the virtual world of the text to the real and historical world through utilizing communicative strategies as: establishing somehow interactive communication with user; linking the virtual identity of the user in the world of the game with his virtual identity on Facebook as a social network.

The purpose of this study is to compare the Counter-Hegemonic international news coverage by the Press TV news network against the Hegemonic discourse of the western media in a case study. This study is to find out why, how and by which techniques is the discourse made and who is making it by asking three questions including why they speak, who is speaking, and how do they speak. Discourse analysis method is used to collect qualitative data. The conceptual framework to carry this study is based on the Gramsci's theory of Hegemony, Stuart Hall's theory of Representation, and the Laclau and Mouffe's Discourse Theory. The findings show that Press TV uses "Reverse Representation" in the confrontation with western media who shows Islam and East as an inferior otherness. Press TV utilizes special vocabulary system, focuses on the voice of voiceless and employs both organic and traditional intellectuals to verbalize Postcolonial subjects which all are hit off with its counter-hegemonic purposes.

AbstractThe United States of America has always used public diplomacy as a "strategic" tool in its foreign policy towards the Islamic Republic of Iran. During Barack Obama’s presidency, "digital diplomacy" and "social networks”, for some reasons, including the lack of traditional diplomatic relationship with Iran & the necessity of having a tool for managing the public opinion and collecting information from inside Iran, had been paid special attention. Therefor during Hillary Clinton's term as secretary of state, using digital diplomacy and, in particular, twitter diplomacy (twiplomacy) as an effective tool for the US foreign policy, was significantly intensified, in a wayTwitter, Facebook and YouTube played very effective roles in the protests against the 2009 Iranian presidential election results. Hence, the main question of the present research is how the US State Department usede digital diplomacy to affect Iran during the Obama administration. Using the explanatory method, the hypothesis is investigated that the US Department of State, in the frame work of digital diplomacy, has managed a soft war against Iran through using Twitter and its capabilities to bring people on the streets, organize the protesters, collect information from within Iran, and publish targeted analyses, and disseminate a wave of Iran-phobia across the world.

The present study aimed to discover the factors that detect fake news in the media, especially social networks because the speed of spreading fake news in new media and its negative impact on public opinion is irreparable in some cases. The method of this qualitative study and its statistical population included experts in the field of communication sciences, media, and news, which were selected from the method of targeted sampling and snowball (chain reference) based on the inclusion criteria. The required information was obtained by using documentary studies and semi-structured interviews for 1720 minutes and 15 interviews with publication saturation conditions and the method of receiving participants' feedback was used to validate the thematic analysis. The results were analyzed using MAXQDA 2020 software and the thematic analysis method. The results of the analysis were formed in the form of 439 key concepts and 57 codes, 12 sub-themes, and 5 main themes of "content structure", "publishing agent", "news source", "rules", and "machine algorithms". Interpretation and analysis of data showed that the detection of fake news in the media and social networks in Iran, above all, needed to create a database to compare and model the methods of writing fake news and detect it, and more research is needed in the field. Content analysis is done in Persian to get a better understanding of fake news writing patterns in Persian.

The purpose of this study was to develop a model for improving the function of virtual social networks in order to improve the health status of women. The research was applied for practical purposes and descriptive survey was applied. The statistical population included women's health professionals and virtual networks, which were selected according to the Cochran formula. 384 of them were selected by purposeful method. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by SPSS and SmartPlS software. The results showed that ten factors of individual characteristics, family strength, women's awareness, social participation, social networking efficiency, online societies, psychological characteristics, cultural characteristics, social characteristics and macroeconomic factors affect the impact of virtual social networks on women's health. And the three factors of women's awareness (0.802), macroeconomic factors (0.801) and social networking (0.772) have the highest priority and the share of effectiveness. Policymakers need to put their efforts to reduce the social stratum, that is, reducing the inequality of power, social image, income, and wealth associated with different socio-economic situations. Also, solutions such as changing planners 'and authorities' attitudes toward this space and removing the limits of using virtual social networks, removing their negative view of users of these networks, and educating the general public are recommended. It seems that entering mediating variables such as government policies and supports such as a comprehensive health plan can help to better communicate.

Transgressions (socially non-normative behaviors) and misconducts find a brand-new way of manifestation through online social media. Hence, social control of such behaviors is crucial to assure users’ tranquility and safety and to restrain the contagion of these transgressions into real society. The current study aimed at exploring Iranian Instagram users’ perceived transgressions, and perceived effective social control means. A qualitative content analysis was conducted on the data from online interviews by a questionnaire, with closed- and open-ended questions, filled out by 58 participants. The results showed Obscenity, Transgressive Information, Emotional Release, Market-Related Content, Risky Behaviors, and Criminal Behaviors as perceived transgressions. Five perceived personal means (Personality Traits; Social Status; Personal Attitudes; Media Use Habits; Ignoring/ Inaction), and also six perceived social means of social control of cybercultural transgressions (Family Structure; Social Groups; Technological Tools; Legal Factors; Awareness Raising; and Societal Attitudes) were identified. It can be inferred from the results that filtering and domestic social media are not effective social control means. The results can be used to devise formal and informal social control policies and initiatives to decrease social media transgressions.

The present study investigates the relationship between the use of social networks with cognitive intelligence, emotional intelligence, and creativity and Personality traits in users. The research method in this study is descriptive-correlation method and, we developed a structural model by using the calculated correlation coefficients. The statistical population of the present study included all high school female students in Tehran during the academic year of 1395-96 and the sample size was selected based on Cochran formula equivalent to 400 people. The data were gathered by five questionnaires of Raven's intelligence, Bar-On Emotional Intelligence, Torrance Creativity, NEO Five-factor Personality traits, and Social Network, Researcher’s Questionnaire. Also, the analysis of the test information was done in two descriptive and inferential categories, the main results of which are as follows:Based on the results, it was found that the direct effect of intelligence on the use of social networks is not meaningful, but the effect of intelligence on social networks with the mediation of emotional intelligence is inversely significant. Also, the results of the study indicated that the direct effect of emotional intelligence could predict the use of social networks. The research hypothesis that creativity predicts the use of social networks is not confirmed. Also, the results showed that the effect of Personality traits on social networks with the mediation of emotional intelligence is inversely significant. And emotional intelligence has a greater role in predicting the use of social networks than other cognitive variables.

Through three-step coding, open coding, axial coding, and selective coding, the research seeks to answer these questions: what image does Trump represent of America and Iran on Twitter? And what are the reasons for this representation? The findings of the study are in the form of two concepts: the image of the self and the image of the other. In terms of self-image, authors have faced two sub-categories of Republican and Democratic achievements; Two category that Trump is trying to portray as a pro-American image of Republicans (with four categories) and the threatening image of US power by Democrats and Obama (with two categories) against Iran to achieve its intended goals of justifying anti-Iranian measures and extending his presidency. This, in turn, has polarized US foreign policy on Iran. Also in the terms of the image of the other, Iran is represented as the enemy of the United States that consists of three categories of the authoritarian regime, violating democracy and disturbing the international order. This type of Trump illustrations is influenced by anti-Iranian discourse in the US, The influence of Israeli loby and those around Trump, Trump's personality traits and his hate of Obama.

Being absent in traditional sociological analysis, today the body and the body concept is at the heart of our sociology, social life, and identity self-concept. With the development of modern media and communication technologies, one of the most important challenges in the field of body management relates to the uncertainty of the impact of global forces or local contexts. Drawing on the world-localization approach and based on the Robertson’s, Goddens’s, Fiderstone’s and social acceptance theories, this paper has investigated the impact of modern media use on body management mediated by social acceptance among club women in Noorabad Mamassani. In his research, the survey methodology was used, the data were collected using a questionnaire, and the sample was selected through simple random sampling. According to the results of the research, women mostly used modern media, respectively: knowing about the sports equipment and use of them, search for fitness patterns, and knowing about fashion and clothing (the Internet); the use of fashion advertising networks, watching science, medical, sports, and commercial (satellite) programs. Among the multiple indicators of body management construct, sports and fitness, surgery and beauty of the body and quality of clothing were the most influential indicators. Comparing the impact of modern media (0.81) and social acceptance (0.17) on body management, it can be said that modern media significantly increase women's attention to body management more than social acceptance in different aspects.

Introduction
According to recent studies, "new media" removes climatic and geographical boundaries from the realm of governmental power. It empowers individuals by fostering a sense of personal security and freedom, which in turn facilitates the shaping of human behavioral elements. Thus, "new media" serves as a conduit for new actors to compete with traditional powers and plays a crucial role in shifting power in political societies.
The purpose of this research is to investigate the role of modern media in the transfer of power in political societies and the expansion of democracy. The hypothesis of the research, which seeks to prove the role of modern communication media in the transfer of power in political societies and the expansion of democracy, seeks to answer two main questions: According to the study objective, it will be examined whether modern communication media plays a significant role in both power transfer and democracy promotion. Additionally, the impact of technological advancements in the fields of information and communication on international relations will be studied.
Materials and Methods
In terms of data collection, the study used a nationwide survey employing a researcher-created questionnaire in the descriptive-analytical and quantitative method in 2018. The statistical community consisted of university professors and media experts. Using the Morgan Kersey table, a sample size of 379 people was calculated using systemic cluster sampling. To improve accuracy, the sample size was increased to 402 people. Descriptive statistics, such as prevalence, percentage, average, standard deviation, and variance, were used to summarize and describe the data. To analyze the findings, analytical statistics, such as regression and factor analysis, were employed.
To examine the effect of each dimension of the independent variable "modern media" on changes in the dependent variable "shifting power," this research utilized the universal entry method within the regression equation. Due to the dispersion of the data, the factor analysis method was used to assess the relationship between the democracy variable and the dimensions of modern media.
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between new communication technologies, specifically satellite networks, the internet, virtual space, and their impact on power displacement. In order to ensure validity and accurately compare metrics, various aspects of technology such as satellite networks for audio and video broadcasting, the internet, virtual space, web and mobile social networks, websites, blogs, search engines, and electronic journalism were evaluated for their role in promoting democracy. After data collection, data analysis was conducted using SPSS22 statistical software.
Discussion and Results
The study examined the effect of 32 variables related to modern communication media on the transfer of power and the spread of democracy, utilizing factor analysis. 6 significant factors were identified as the major contributors to the influence of modern media on the transfer of power within political systems through democracy. Furthermore, over 71% of the variation in the relationship between modern communication technologies and the transfer of power in political systems can be explained by the 6 identified factors. Notably, the variables associated with factor 5 displayed the highest factor loadings, while the variables related to cyber journalism exhibited the lowest values. It is significant to note that there are no significant correlations between the 6 identified factors. Additionally, the correlation between the 32 variables can be accounted for through these 6 factors.
Operator of extraterrestrial televisions (satellite)
Operator of extra-territorial televisions (Persian language satellites)
Agent of virtual space
Agent of virtual social networks
Internet (blogs, sites, and search engines)
Agent of cyber journalism
In terms of perceptions of the effectiveness of the democratic flow in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the opinions of the respondents demonstrated that they considered the use of virtual space, social networks and the activities of journalists and extra-territorial televisions to be crucial factors for enhancing information, awareness, and the level of political and social participation in the path of expanding democracy. Moreover, they viewed the Persian language satellite televisions as a factor that increases popular demands. Generally, the aforementioned media variables were perceived as contributing to promoting democracy in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Conclusions
Based on the results of the factor analysis on 32 variables related to modern communication technologies' effect on the transfer of power in political systems through the spread of democracy, it can be concluded that the researcher's first sub-hypothesis (H1) was confirmed and the alternative hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Specifically, all dimensions of modern communication technologies were found have a role in the transfer of power in political systems through a convergent structure. Hence, the research hypothesis (new communication media in the transfer of power in political systems through the expansion of democracy) was supported by the results of the factor analysis.

In this day and age the media have provided positive means for developing human values and promoting peace throughout the international society. The other side of the story is, however, not very positive as due to limited control over the media and its unfettered reach radical jihadi groups have turned it into a propaganda machine for the spread of their inhuman values and measures which are clear violations of human rights. The Middle East has been the main target of these groups whose negative campaigns and activities have turned the region into the eye of the storm in a global crisis. Thus, in order to study the issue the current article’s main question is to find answer to ‘What role do the media play in strategies employed by salafi groups, especially, Al-Qaeda and ISIS, and what impact did these activities bear upon the social lives of the Middle Easterners?’. As a matter fact, jihadi groups, namely the two terrorist groups of Al-Qaeda and ISIS, have pursued a distinct and peculiar media strategy mainly based upon attempts at recruitment, spread of violence, legitimization and disseminating their messages to friends and foes. Furthermore, these groups have turned the Middle East into the main scene on which their destructive acts of violence are staged to the extent that nowadays the menacing shadow of terrorism and jihadi ideology is putatively engulfing the entire region.

But this point is ignored in most computer games in the current world, and each person (player) receives concepts from any game that is intended to be made by the makers of the game.

AbstractIn this article, we have investigated the evolutionary effect of communication on the formation of theories of New Media Studies. Assuming that changes in one social institution can affect other social institutions, we hypothesized that communication, as a social institution, can affect the law. This article seeks to assess whether there is a significant relationship between changes in communication and the discipline of law in contemporary Iran. In other words, we have tried to answer this question: “Does the evolution of communication affect the transition to the new discipline of law? This study’s main hypothesis is that advances in information and communication technologies have posed a number of challenges and legal issues that have also affected the discipline of communication law. Therefore, this study seeks to investigate the discipline of communication law in the world's one-ranked universities and adaption and benefit of its findings in the curriculum of the Iranian higher education system. Since Allameh Tabataba'i University is the birthplace of this educational field, it can also be a place for its growth to review in terms of criteria of efficiency and being up-to-date and with a local-global approach. The universities selected for this study are the universities in Ivy League, Harvard University, and the universities in Oxbridge, University of Oxford, and University of Cambridge.Design/Methodology/Approach:This article analyzes the evolution of communication and its effects on the discipline of law with an emphasis on New Media Studies. In other words, it is the first step in an attempt to discuss Communication Science and Communication law. This study goes beyond the traditional classification of Public Law in the areas of Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Financial Law, and Labor Law and can be described as Communication Law.The method of data collection in this research is the library, and the data obtained have been studied by descriptive and explanatory methods with an interdisciplinary approach. Interdisciplinary studies are currently a hot topic in legal academia; therefore, we should distinguish four types in the sociological approach to law: disciplinary, interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and Transdisciplinary studies. I think public law and sociology are strongly interconnected but we can speak about the possibility of multidisciplinary in law. In this study, we argue that Communication Law as a multidisciplinary field of studies affected the theory of law. The study of communication law and Communication Science rests on the belief that legal rules and decisions must be understood in context. Communication Law is not autonomous, standing outside of the social world, but is deeply embedded within society. In our paper, we illustrate how different methods can be used in researching law and legal phenomena, and how methodological issues and debates in sociology are relevant to the study of law. Therefore, the article can be classified under interdisciplinary studies of law and communication. This article is a library study in terms of data collection method, and descriptive-explanatory-prescriptive in terms of research method.FindingsThe findings of this study imply that both groups of the studied faculties presented their educational content in an innovative way. But in general, American universities offer more specialized education and newer courses, and practical experience is more important to students. The main focus is primarily on training professional and competent lawyers in the field of communication law as a challenging and lucrative field, and training researchers and policymakers in this field is the second priority. The curriculum of American law schools is more flexible and diverse than English law schools. In the curriculum of some colleges, staying away from pure specialization and teaching multidisciplinary content is significant. The results of this study indicate that awareness is the right of any user and the duty of all media service providers. “Authority “is mentioned in the philosophy of rights and media rights and being aware of choices and their effects is required to exercise authority. The “right to know “should be considered in providing all social media and media service providers’ “terms of use”.Originality/Value:This study is one of the first attempts to address the role of Communication change in the formation of law in contemporary Iran. It has tried to provide a basis for understanding.

Analyzing the content of the news and the way it is presented is very important since media can affect public opinion in so many ways. This study is aimed at analyzing the news coverage of the Covid 19 in Iranian written Press to find out about the differences between the ways different news media in Iran cover and report the news about Covid crisis during three time periods, from March to November 2020; and the lexical items that emerged or become frequent in the media after the crisis. The corpus has been built by crawling the websites of 6 main Iranian news media that are believed to be close to the three main political factions of Iran, namely Fundamentalists, Reformists, and Moderates from March to November 2020. The results show that “war” and to be specific, “Imposed War” or “holy defense” act as the nodal point in the discourse of “Corona War” in Iran. Words like sepah (corps), Basij, Jihad, fore front, health defenders, health martyrs, enemy, defeat, etc. are prominent in this discourse. Corona virus is represented as an inauspicious virus that can be used by the enemy against Iran, and Iran must defeat the enemy conspiracy. In this discourse, the words “America” and “Trump” are always very frequent. This representation of “Corona War” in Iran is more emphasized in Fundamentalists newspapers during the first time period in this research. Pre Corona, Post Corona, Corona phobia, are some of the neologisms in Persian after this pandemic.
